Why this site exists
Most comparison sites are written for American readers, or for one country in its own language. If you live in Amsterdam, Berlin or Dublin and read in English, the questions that matter are different: is this provider licensed where I live, can I pay with SEPA or iDEAL, what happens if it goes bust, and what will the tax office want from me?
We start from where you live. One method covers stocks and ETFs, crypto and gold, so you can compare routes instead of brands.
What we promise
- Rankings are never for sale. The order of a list never depends on who pays us.
- Every paid link says “Ad”, right next to the link. Today we have no paid partnerships at all; see how we make money.
- We check licences. We only recommend providers that are licensed for your country, and we link to the register so you can check it yourself.
- We don't pretend. We never claim to have tested something with our own money when we haven't. Facts carry a date and a source.
Who writes here
Brokers & Exchanges is run by a small independent team based in the Netherlands. Articles are researched from official fee schedules, legal documents and regulator registers, and reviewed before publication. When a fact changes, we update the page and the date at the top.
